Caliente Latin Dance School is owned and operated by Michelle Mcfarlane. Michelle went to a Latin Dance Class over 7
Years ago and found her passion. She Couldn't get enough and trained with her instructors before they left to continue their
journey back to Colombia. Since then Caliente Latin Dance was born, and has now been operating for 6 years and started
to teach in Maclean, Coffs Harbour, Woolgoolga, Bellingen and Nambucca Heads.
She has performed for many private functions and festivals in the local area such as The Festival of the Golden Wheel,
Barraba Latino Festival, Rely for Life, Sawtell Chilli Festival, Coffs Harbour Dance Spectacular, and many more.
She also organisers Latin Dance Events Several times a year in the Coffs Harbour area, which includes many re known Latin
Dance Instructors like Adrian Medina, Moro, Brendan Creek, Christina and Corrie and many others.
In 2005 she was one of the judges & 2006 Event Manager & Competition Co-ordinator for the Australian National Salsa
Championships in Sydney hosted by Mister Salsa (Michael Mckoy), assisted with the Byron Latin Fiesta and continue to be
involved with other events to build the industry.. She has more recently been appointed as the Events Co-ordinator for
Sawtell Chill Festival..
2007 she continues to put events on and held the biggest Latin Event to hit Coffs Harbour..The events in Coffs Harbour is
hoping to become a big event and a annual event to cater for the Mid North Coast dancers...
Caliente Latin Dance has now 3 permanent instructors. Sue-anne and Peter who work hard and work as a fantastic team
that have help create what we are today.
We are currently teaching 3 nights a week, consisting of 7 classes and 2 social dance nights a week. They range from Salsa
Beginners to Advanced, Merengue, Rueda, Dance Fitness and a new class Argentinean Tango.
Michelles Goal is to continue to spread Salsa Dancing and support and encourage more and more people to dance. Dancing
takes you to a different world especially the Latin Rhythms. Come and join Caliente Latin Dance and see for yourself....
