BRAVO Latin Events  DJ 'Mambonito'

Khosro Zarif-Raftar. “KOZ” 24.

Born in Esfahan, Iran. Brisbane resident since 1995. Currently completing a
degree in Psychology at the University of Queensland. Interest in Latin styles of
music started around 2002 after buying Buena Vista Social Club album. Was
hooked & sought to learn how to dance salsa and cha-cha-cha!

About 2 years ago after an agonising start, a Bolivian architect taught him the
basic salsa step before he started taking lessons in LA-style salsa from different
schools!

He now dances with Latin Steps Dance Company and while he still loves Cuban
music, his preference with Latin music has shifted to the roots in the sounds of
Latin Jazz and New York Mambo. He only recently started DJ'ing in July (2007).
